First, I’ve disabled commenting for a bit because this site has gotten nailed by spam. Thanks for the offers but I don’t need larger boobs, a life time supply of viagra, cialis or any other drugs and I am not interested in porn period. Once life settles down a bit, I will find a way to deal with spam.

So this weekend I am moving my stuff into storage. The apartment looks like a tornado/hurricane/ice storm hit. I can not wait until this move is over. I should move into my new, bigger, more fabulous place right after Labor Day. (If you thought I would give up a camping weekend to move, you are crazy)

Did I mention I go on vacation next wednesday for a week?

It is a joke within my family that at least every two years, I move apartments. It probably is just a way to appease my inner wanderlust. And now after two wonderful years in Lafayette Towers, I am moving.

It was a very difficult decision because my apartment is amazing, the building staff is wonderful and the location just can’t be beat. But someone offered me a deal on a 2.5 bedroom flat near Belle Isle. A deal too good to turn down.

Of course, this August just happens to be one of the busiest of my life, so I am moving in stages. All my furniture is going into storage next weekend. After the big things are moved, we’ll move the smaller things over the remaining weeks. (Including the one where I am in San Fran) A few things will remain with me. If at the end of August, I can’t quite move into my new place, I will crash with a friend.

Besides the amazing deal, my landlords will be friends of mine and living across the street. Yea!
